This place is a haven of goodies for food allergy sufferers! They truly have anything and everything you think you might need, and then some. We have lived in Atlanta for over 7 years and have never been here. Now I don't know that my weekend will be complete without a visit. The whole family was staring around in awe at the mass quantities of fresh fruits, veggies, meat, cheeses and most exciting, cooking flours and pasta.
Looking at all of the wheat free, dairy free, soy free, nut free recipes, I noticed one thing, I have never heard of most of the ingredients, and I didn't know where I could find them. Well I need not wonder anymore. The Dekalb Farmers Market is the place!
We stocked up on some pantry staples that will hopefully aid in quick and easy dinners throughout the week. We also found more options for items like goat milk cheese and yogurt.
The only thing we are still having trouble with is bread. Nothing I have seen is free of ALL of her allergens. I did find some frozen "carrot tortillas". Not sure how they will go over, and still questioning why they are white instead of orange, but we will try.
